We encourage lifelong learning throughout all levels of our organisation by providing professional skills development, management training and education, and mentoring programs.

We recognise our people through annual performance and salary reviews, study support, flexible working arrangements, company performance and individual bonus incentives, regular social activities, etc.

Human Rights & Ethical Sourcing

We remain vigilant in our commitment to ensure everyone in our supply chain is treated per the law and our rigorous ethical requirements. Specifically, we work with our supplier factories and stakeholders to address social compliance and help ensure products are manufactured in working conditions that are fair, safe and legal for workers and that support local communities.

We operate under fair labour practices that ensure our and our supplier activities do not violate (directly or indirectly) human rights in any country we operate in, including forced/bonded labour, child labour or modern slavery.

We expect everyone in our organisation and our suppliers to uphold high ethical standards, including not engaging directly or indirectly in corruption, bribery, extortion, embezzlement, or other illegal practices.

Environmental Sustainability

We ensure our activities facilitate the ongoing minimisation of environmental harm and strive to create a corporate culture that values sustainable practices.

We implement new technologies to reduce environmental impacts in our supply chain, including cloud-based processes and documents, minimising paper usage in our operations.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

1. More than 90% of our packaging is reused, while the remaining 10% is recycled.
2. In compliance with ISO 14001 guidelines, our supply chain environmental impacts such as air pollution, water and sewage issues, waste management, and soil contamination have been measured and improved.
3. We consider environmental and sustainability initiatives when selecting suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers.

Health and Safety

Health and safety are a priority for Valenhold, going beyond what is just required by the letter of the law and extends to all facets of how we do business. We provide appropriate infrastructure, training and support to meet the needs of our employees.

Our risk assessment is employed from a critical analysis of Valenhold’s business procedures to establish safe and sustainable practices in Valenhold’s workforce and day-to-day operations. These practices focus on managing workplace health and safety risks concerning hazardous manual tasks and chemicals, machinery operation, electrical safety, working from heights and facility and noise management.

We’re committed to ensuring that everyone who makes our products or provides services to us works in a safe environment. Our suppliers are expected to maintain safe and healthy workplaces that comply with all applicable laws and implement a relevant management system to identify and resolve related issues.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR HEALTH AND SAFETY INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

1. ISO 9001:2015 certified.
2. Zero LTIFR for the last six years.
3. Working closely with international manufacturers to ensure that they move towards best practice safety processes and systems.
4. Compliant with the following AUS/NZ Standards: AS/NSZ: ISO 14001 compliant, 4801, ISO 31000, AS1966, AS3195, AS1674.2, AS1674.2, AS/NZS 3100, AS1674.2, AS1674.2, AS1995, AS2826, and AS1674.2.

We value a positive work-life balance and care about the health and well-being of our team, encouraging them to take annual leave and frequently evaluate workloads and responsibilities.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

1. In-house gym with free weights, rowers, assault bikes and more. All Valenhold employees can use this exercise facility free of charge. Personal sessions with certified instructors are offered during working hours, with no nominal fee.
2. Promotion of work-life balance conditions and well-being by offering flexible work arrangements through remote working, variable hours and shift flexibility.
3. Mental Health Recharge Period, a company-wide annual stand-down week that allows our employees to recharge and refocus with a well-deserved break.
